Openings! And a survey for you to do.

The Bash Sustainable Arts Awards and the Barbican’s Radical Nature are both holding their private views tonight so it will be a bit of a dash from one to the other.

This is the mid-point in respond! We’re conducting a piece of research to evaluate whether this has been a valuable excercise or not. Please take a couple of minutes to add your thoughts.

Take a crack at the respond! survey.

This is hopefully an idea we can improve on in the future - with your help.

  • About Respond 09

Respond! takes place in June 2009 to highlight and celebrate a month of nationwide events, exhibitions, talks and projects that demonstrate the arts’ engagement with environmental issues.

On the main Respond! website you can find information about what's happening across the UK alongside features, blogs and much more.

There are already an incredible amount of projects, organisations and initiatives in the arts that have responded to the ever-increasing threats to the environment and continue to organise vital and stimulating discourse around the subject. The RSA Arts & Ecology website is committed to drawing attention to this work and extending the debate further among an active and engaged audience.

In June this year we want to take a snapshot of the activity that is taking place in the UK to build on the agenda of World Environment Day which takes place on 5 June.

The project is being delivered in association with Bash Creations - an events production company whose aim is to reduce the ecological footprint of the British entertainment industry by introducing innovative and creative ways to implement sustainable practice.
